Footsteps Awarded Tender For WW1 Education Programme For Derry City Council

Footsteps are delighted to announce that they will be delivering a World War 1 education programme for Derry City Council's Museum Services. It will entail a one hour performance that will look at various aspects of the social impact of World War 1 as well as an outreach workshop to a number of schools in the Derry City area. Robert Forshaw, owner of Footsteps, said "We are delighted to continue our association with Derry City Council and to be involved in this exciting project." The programme begins in January 2015

Footsteps Wins Tender To Deliver DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education Programme

Footsteps is delighted to announce that they have been successfully awarded the DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education contract. This contract will take place throughout the education year of 2014/2015 and will provide three plays that will tackle a variety of Road Safety issues from "Cycle Safety" for year 1 - 7 students, "Passenger Responsibility & Distracting Behavior" for year 8 - 11 and "How Drugs, Drink & Speed Effect Your Road Safety" for year 11- 14. With 140 performances taking place in schools across Northern Ireland Footsteps are delighted to have be chosen to deliver this exciting project. Owner, Robert Forshaw, said "We are thrilled to have been chosen to deliver the DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education programme and we see it as a fantastic opportunity and a further example of the reputation we have built over the last 4 years, in delivering a fantastic range of performance skills in a highly professional manner."

Footsteps Announces New Murder Mystery Dates At Am/PM Cabaret Club, Belfast

Footsteps Awarded Tender To Be Learning Facilitator For Foyle Maritime Festival 2014

Footsteps are delighted to announce they have been awarded the tender  to undertake the design and delivery of a heritage and environmental maritime school engagement programme, associated with Lough Foyle, River Foyle and CLIPPER, within the Derry City Council and Strabane District Council areas. This programme will be utilised to promote the city’s unique natural and cultural heritage to local, national and international markets, through CLIPPER 2014. This project is funded by Derry City Council. Owner, Robert Forshaw, Said "I am absolutely delighted that we have been chosen to provide the services sought by this tender. I am also delighted to continue are working relationship with Derry City Council and the North West region." This programme will be rolled out over the next two months.

Footsteps To Provide Historical Interpretation For Belfast Hills Landscape Partnership

Footsteps is delighted to announce it has been awarded the tender for the provision of historical interpretation for Belfast Hills Landscape Partnership. Owner, Robert Forshaw, said "we are delighted to be providing all the historical interpretation needs of the Belfast Hills Landscape Partnership for the "Belfast Hills Dig" at the end of May 2014. We will be providing an interactive educational programme for 6x days, focusing on Victorian rural life, as well as providing the historical interpretation for the Woodland Heritage Festival where we will bring to life the Celtic and Victorian history of the area. We look forward to working closely with our newest  client and are delighted to see the continued recognition,  growth and success of Footsteps throughout Ireland and the UK."

"Planters, Paupers & Rebels" To Make A Welcome Return

Footsteps is delighted to announce that our extremely well received Theatre in Education performance, "Planters, Paupers & Rebels" will be making a welcome return to the Tower Museum in Derry. Our show, which is a"Horrible Histories" style take on history of the North West of Ulster from the Ulster Plantation to Partition, will be running from the 25th February 2014 to 7th March 2014. Performances will be for school children of the local area and will twice a day. Robert Forshaw, owner of Footsteps said, "I am delighted to be bringing "Planters, Paupers & Rebels" back to Derry. We have received wonderful feedback from our previous run and currently we are trying to develop this programme for a wider audience."
