Footsteps Announce Contract To Deliver Education Programmes for The Siege Museum of Derry
Footsteps are delighted to announce that they have been contracted by the Siege Museum of Derry to deliver education programmes covering the history of the Siege of Derry in 1689 and World War 1. These education programmes will be delivered to schools in the city of Derry throughout October and will engage KS3 students in learning through theatre the importance of these two seminal historic events in Derry City's history.

Footsteps Awarded Animation Of Derry Walls Summer Project
Footsteps are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the contract for the Animation of Derry's Walls Project for 2018. Footsteps owner Robert Forshaw said, "We are delighted to be working once again in the City of Derry and on this particular contract. Running from the 14th of July 2018 to the 30th of August 2018 we will be providing 1st person historical interpretation every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday from 11.30am to 3.30pm. The history of Derry's walls is steeped with stories of rebellion, sieges and plots and the story of these walls has been shaped by those either born in Derry or who have visited the City. Whether it be Kings, chieftains, poets, playwrights, suffragettes or people of industry, Derry's walls has a story to be told for each and everyone of us."

Last Orders Continues to Warrenpoint
After a successful run in Rostrevor, Omeath & Mullagbane, Ross McShane's Last Orders moves on to Warrenpoint in February 2018. The Warrenpoint Golf Club may seem an unusual spot to find a piece of new theatre but it is an ideal setting for this two act play. Set in a pub, Dominick the bar man is trying to shut up shop but his efforts are thwarted by a cantankerous punter who wants one last drink. The two begin to chat and soon their conversation gets on to life, religion and the afterlife. Finally they are both startled by an unusual visitor.This is a play that will challenge you to question your own beliefs and is a moving first outing written by Warrenpoint man Ross McShane. Last Orders called for Ti Chulainn, Mullaghbane 30th November 2017
After a successful run at Crawfords Bar, Rostrevor & The Granvue Hotel, Omeath, "Last Orders", a new play by Ross McShane and directed by owner of Footsteps, Robert Forshaw, moves on to the Ti Chulainn centre in Mullaghbane, South Armagh. As part of the Winter Solstice Festival organised by Newry Mourne & Downpatrick Council, theatre lovers will be able to experience this two act drama that investigates the meaning of life in the heart of a Pub.

Last Orders Moves On To Granvue Hotel
After a fantastic run of four nights at Crawfords Bar, Rostrevor Inn, Rostrevor, "Last Orders" now moves on to the Granvue Hotel, Omeath, for 2 nights. Reviews of the play have said "Last Orders is a deep play, with thought provoking questions and quality acting not expected in rural South Down. This is a must see production. Great Job, Footsteps." Footsteps Are Delighted To Announce The Production Of A New Play
Footsteps is delighted to announce that they will be staging and performing a brand new play in the Rostrevor Inn, Rostrevor, in October 2017. The play "Last Orders" was written by playwright Ross McShane, a valued member of our team, and will be performed "in the round" over 3 nights. This debut play is a 2 Act drama that is set in an weather worn pub in Ireland. It explores the meaning of our existence and life after the here and now with laughs and tears on the journey. The play will be directed, produced and performed by Footsteps and will be performed on the 8th, 9th, & 15th October 2017. Robert Forshaw, owner of Footsteps, says "We are thrilled that the Rostrevor Inn has agreed to allow us to stage this exciting and beautifully written play. Footsteps To Help ASDA Bring World Book Day To Life!
Asda set to bring World Book Day to Life!
Characters from the most popular children’s novels will take charge of the shopping aisles in Asda to celebrate World Book Day (Thursday 2nd March).
Big and little kids are encouraged to come along next week, to hear the magical words of JK Rowling and Lewis Carroll, as told by Asda’s very own Professor Snape and Mad Hatter ahead of World Book Day.
Speaking about the activity, Asda Antrim’s Community Champion, Barbara Logan said:
“World Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to encourage reading, and this activity will really help ‘the words jump off the page!’ Reading is a great way to fire children’s imagination, and we know our customers will enjoy seeing these classic stories being brought to life.”
Interactive reading sessions will take place in selected Asda Stores (Asda Antrim / Asda Enniskillen / Asda Larne) on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st February at selected times.
Children can swap their World Book Day tokens in store, or use their money-off coupons on a wide selection of book available in store. Asda has an extensive range of adult and children dress-up options available online and in store now. The Mad Hatter and Professor McGonagall from Harry Potter costume (pictured) is available in store now.

Footsteps wins tender to deliver Narnia themed experience at Bishop Lucey Park, as part of the Cork "Glow" Christmas Festival
Footsteps are thrilled to announce that they have been contracted to design, perform and produce a Narnia themed visitor experience at Bishop Lucey Park, Cork, as part of the Glow Christmas Festival in the City. Owner of Footsteps, Robert Forshaw, said "We are delighted to have been chosen to provide this experience for Cork City Council. I chose the theme of Narnia as the connections with Cork City & CS Lewis are very strong with his Father and Mother being born in Cork and Co.Cork respectively. Our vision is to create a Narnia Winter Wonderland that will provide an exciting escape from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas shopping period." This event will run every weekend from the end of November and throughout December. Footsteps To Produce Narnia Themed Events For Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership

Footsteps is proud to announce that they have been awarded the tender to provide two Narnia themed events for the Mourne Mountains Landscape Partnership. Owner, Robert Forshaw, said "We are delighted to be working with the MMLP once again. We are to provide to events that help enhance the links between Rostrevor and CS Lewis. Lewis wrote “That part of Rostrevor (now Kilbroney Park) which overlooks Carlingford Lough is my idea of Narnia”. With that in mind we will be writing and performing a murder mystery evening at the Rostrevor Inn on Friday November 18th 2016, followed by a Narnia themed family event on Saturday 19th November 2016 at the Narnia Trail in Kilbroney Park." Footsteps Announce The Launch of Drama School!
Footsteps today announced that they are launching a new Drama School. Robert Forshaw, owner of Footsteps and creative director said "We at Footsteps are delighted to announce that we will be launching a drama school based in Warrenpoint, County Down. We will be running a two week Summer Programme running Monday to Friday 8th August to 19th August, for 9 - 18 year olds. Our ambition then is operate a Footsteps Drama School through the winter and spring 2017. Our Summer programme is being developed as we speak, but it will be a lot of fun, with professional workshops in acting, movement, musical theatre, technical theatre, voice and speech training and a lot more. Our ethos is one of creating confidence in young people. Our fully professional staff are passionate about creating a passion for performance amongst young people and about nurturing confidence that can be so beneficial in the development of that young persons life." The Summer Programme will be open to all abilities, from those who have never performed in public to those that are regular performers. Footsteps awarded Foyle Maritime Festival Education and Annimation Tender
Footsteps is proud to announce that they have been awarded the contract to write, develop and perform the Foyle Maritime Festival Education and Animation programme for 2016. Owner of Footsteps, Robert Forshaw, said "We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this tender. It is another opportunity to further develop our burgeoning friendship with the fine city of Derry. The project includes an education programme that will be delivered to 60 schools throughout the North West of the region, a creative competition " float your boat" open to all, to design model boats, an exhibit that will be part of the main Maritime Festival event in July and finally a series of events leading up to and part of the festival." Mr Forshaw continued "2016 is going to be another busy year for Footsteps with a series of events as well as the planned formation of a Footsteps Drama school developing performance skills and personal skills of young people from the age of 9 - 18. All in all these are exciting times." Footsteps To Write, Direct, Produce & Perform New Cabaret Show in Belfast
Footsteps is delighted to announce that they have been commissioned to write, direct, produce & perform a new show entitled "The Red Windmill", for the Am/Pm Cabaret Supper Club, Upper Arthur Street, Belfast. Robert Forshaw, Owner & Creative Director of Footsteps said "We are delighted to be creating a new show that will bring to life the birth of Cabaret. Set in Paris in the height of the Belle Époque era at the end of the 19th century, "The Red Windmill" production is a tale of love and tragedy that encompasses the spirit of the Moulin Rouge, with songs from the show, dance, theatrical performances and much, much more. Paris a city of love and beauty, famed for its fine dining

Footsteps is delighted to announce that they have been awarded the tender to provide a World War One themed programme for key stage 2 students as part of the Woodland Trust "We Stand Still For Those Who Fell" commemoration event from the 9th March - 13th March 2015, in Comber House, Claudy, County Londonderry. Footsteps Wins Tender To Deliver DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education Programme
Footsteps is delighted to announce that they have been successfully awarded the DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education contract. This contract will take place throughout the education year of 2014/2015 and will provide three plays that will tackle a variety of Road Safety issues from "Cycle Safety" for year 1 - 7 students, "Passenger Responsibility & Distracting Behavior" for year 8 - 11 and "How Drugs, Drink & Speed Effect Your Road Safety" for year 11- 14. With 140 performances taking place in schools across Northern Ireland Footsteps are delighted to have be chosen to deliver this exciting project. Owner, Robert Forshaw, said "We are thrilled to have been chosen to deliver the DOE Road Safety Theatre In Education programme and we see it as a fantastic opportunity and a further example of the reputation we have built over the last 4 years, in delivering a fantastic range of performance skills in a highly professional manner."
